New York Mayor Eric Adams asked the federal judge on Monday to refuse the criminal corruption allegations before the political period this week – trying to speed up the judge’s decision in the case.
The mayor wants the case to be dropped before the petitions go to the primary vote in June, according to April 3, according to his lawyer.
“Now, with the deadline for petitions, only at a distance, we respect the court to issue his decision as soon as possible,” said Mayor Alex Spiro’s lawyer in a letter to Judge Dale Ho.

The Ministry of Justice has asked the judge to dismiss the allegations without prejudice in order to release Adams to cooperate with President Donald Trump’s immigration program. Without prejudice, it means that fees can reappear.
Ho has accepted a legitimate short short one who calls for him to reject the case with prejudice, which means that he cannot be revived, eliminating an incentive for the mayor to worship the requests of the administration.
Adams admitted that he was not guilty of the federal court last September on charges of alleged conspiracy with Turkish citizens who landed his lavish gifts in exchange for useful treatment.
The Trump Ministry of Justice asked in February to dismiss the allegations, a move that made several prosecutors withdrew in protest, including Trump’s interimed US -appointed US Daniel Sasson, who claims to be Quid Pro Quo.
“It is a breathtaking and dangerous precedent to reward Adams’s opportunistic and displacing engagements on immigration and other political issues with a rejection of a criminal prosecution,” Sasun wrote at that time. “Neither the court will probably find that such incorrect exchange is in line with the public interest.”
