A luxury hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond issued an ‘humble apology’ about the treatment of a terminally ill baby on site.
Three -month -old Charlie, who receives the end of life at Robin House Children’s Hospice in Balloch, was taken by his family to the nearby Duck Bay Hotel on Sunday.
During the day in Western Dunbartonshire, Charlie’s parents were denied access to a prop -junction to turn on a nebuliser -a device that converts a liquid containing medication into a fine manure.
The uncle of the boy, Bradley Raynham, told Sky News he hoped to raise awareness of the incident so that it “does not happen to anyone else in the future”.
Mr. Raynham criticized the hotel in a Facebook post, saying that his sister and her partner asked for help at the reception, but “they were not one of interest”.
He said Charlie’s parents returned to the hospice immediately and were “obviously” upset “about their treatment, which led to nurses called the hotel to complain.
Mr Raynham added: “How can anywhere in this day turn away for something like this?
‘Especially after they were there and spent money. Literally hold a baby in their arms that need it. ‘
Mr Raynham told Sky News that the family is ‘extremely overwhelmed’ and ‘extremely grateful for everyone’s support’ in response to the incident.
The post itself caused a public scream to which Duck Bay Hotel issued a ‘very humble excuse’.
In a statement posted on Facebook, signed by the directors, management and staff in the hotel, the incident said he had involved a junior worker who misunderstood and misunderstood a situation “.
The hotel apologized for what happened, in which he said: ‘The incident involved a junior staff member who recently joined the company and acted without guidance, who completely misunderstood and misunderstood a situation.
“We are deeply upset about how this incident was handled, and we are sorry for the dismay it caused.
“It is in no way a reflection of the values of Duck Bay Marina or our hard -working staff, many of which are destroyed by the incident.
A full investigation will follow and the necessary corrective steps will be taken. ‘

In response to critical social media posts, the hotel said it understands the reactions, but added: “We want to remind you that it is an incident that is a very inexperienced young person who made a mistake, they were absolutely ruined by what happened and how they handled things.”
