“We have never experienced this passion – from suppliers and the community,” Steve Green, general manager of marketing, said in a press release.

“People are eager for connection, quality and experience, and that’s exactly what they found in the market this year,” Green said.

“Open days will be amazing.”

Recently, the market has been known as the Farmers Market in Ontario as the Farmers Market of the Year in 2024, which recognizes Windsor as one of the best in the province.

The judge said the market not only stood out for its diverse supplier portfolio and lively atmosphere, but also committed to a commitment to meaningful community programs such as the Premium Greens, which directly addressed food insecurity and food waste in the city center.

“Being named Farmers Market of the Year is an incredible honor – a reflection of the enthusiasm, creativity and commitment of our suppliers, volunteers and employees,” said Chris MacLeod, president of the Windsor Downtown Business Improvement Association.

“The market is a celebration of everything so vibrant to downtown Windsor, and this season will be the most exciting we have so far.”
