Donald Trump questioned the competence of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and suggested that Ukraine began the war against Russia, which is ’20 times’ its size.

“Millions of people have died due to three people,” Trump added.

Mr. Zelenskyy asked a global response to the Sumy attack, in which more than 100 people were injured, saying that the first strike hit university buildings, while the second above street level exploded.

On a question about the Sumy attack that is near the Russian border, Mr. Trump said on board earlier: “I think it was terrible and I said they made a mistake, but I think it’s a horrible thing. I think the whole war is a horrible thing.”

When Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov was questioned about the incident, Remlin said Russia’s forces only reach military targets.
According to the Moscow Ministry of Defense, the strike targeted a meeting of senior military officers, who accused Kyiv of using civilians as shields by holding military meetings in the city center.
The ministry also claimed to have killed more than 60 troops. Russia provided no evidence to support its claims.
Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski, whose country currently has the EU presidency, said recent attacks ‘Russia’s ridiculous answer’ is to Kyiv’s agreement to a ceasefire that the US administration proposed more than a month ago.

The attack on Sumy followed a rocket strike on April 4 on Mr. Zelenskyy’s hometown, Vyi Rih who killed about 20 people, including nine children.
Russia and Ukraine’s senior diplomats accused each other of violating a provisional US broker agreement to interrupt energy infrastructure strikes.
Ukraine has endorsed a broader proposal from the US ceasefire, but Russia effectively blocked it by setting up far -reaching conditions.
Mr. Putin said he wanted Ukraine to abandon his ambitions to join NATO, Russia, to control the whole of the four Ukrainian regions he claimed as his own, and limited the size of the Ukrainian army. He also made it clear that he wanted Western sanctions to be relieved.
