Diego Maradona was in ‘pain’ in the hours before his death, a court heard.
The 1986 World Cup winner, one of the biggest players of football, ever, Died in a house outside Buenos Aires in November 2020 to a cardiac arrest.
He was 60.
Seven healthcare staff, including a neurosurgeon, a psychiatrist and medical staff, heard about manslaughter after being accused of not taking adequate medical care to Maradona.

One of the experts who have a post -mortem examination on Maradona spoke to court on Thursday.
He said the Argentine was in pain at least 12 hours before death and “any doctor” added, his symptoms should have noticed days before.
Carlos Cassinelli, director of forensic medicine at the superintendency of the scientific police, provided details on Thursday about the post -mortem death on the day of Maradona’s death.

“The heart was completely covered with fat and blood clots, indicating pain,” he said.
Mr Cassinelli added: “It is a patient who has collected the days of water; it is not sharp.
“It was something that was foreseeable.
“Any doctor examining a patient will find it.”
The post -mortem was concluded that Maradona died of acute pulmonary edema secondary to congestive heart failure.
The hearing can take up to four months, with three hearings held per week.

If convicted, the defendants, all of whom deny the allegations against them, may be jailed for 25 years.
Among the accused, Leopoldo Lucque, the personal doctor of Maradona for the past four years of his life, and psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, who prescribed medication that Maradona took to the time of his death.
With them, psychologist Carlos Diaz, coordinator of the medical company hired to take care of him during his hospitalization, Nancy Forlini, representative of the company that provided nursing service, Mariano Pedro di Spagna, who monitored his treatment, and Ricardo Almiron is also an advantage.

Gisela Madrid, a nurse who is also charged, will be tried by a jury later this year.
