Ryan Teague has said that he was “super excited” after debuting for Australia in the 2-0 victory over China in Hangzhou.
Melbourne’s victory midfielder gave a composite performance since the Socceroos took a great step to qualify for the 2026 World Cup with goals in the first half of Jackson Irvine and Nishan Velupillay.
Eligible through his mother’s inheritance to play for the opposition, but he always focused on pulling green and gold, Teague showed good touches from the off, since Tony Popovic men took quick control of the tie.
