The US Coast Guard seized more than 48,000 pounds of illegal drugs worth just over $ 500 million on January 6, just on the coast of Ecuador.

Footage shows that suspected drug smugglers throw cocaine overboard while a helicopter from the coast guard becomes unnoticed before swimming on the operation.

Attorney -General Pam Bondi said on April 9: “We believe that two cartels, CJNG and Sinaloa, are very linked to these consignments.”

The operation lasted 11 days and the crew said that finding drug dealers in their patrol area such as finding a needle in a haymaking.

11 people have so far been arrested in connection with the bust.
