Ottawa – Liberal leader Mark Carney joked that sending Alberta Prime Minister Danielle Smith to fight back against the trade war between U.S. President Donald Trump and Canada is a “bad idea.”

At a rally in Victoria, British Columbia on Sunday night, Carney listed all the ways Canada responded to the U.S. tariffs imposed on the U.S. and said Fox News is one of the best platforms to get the government’s attention.

“People are free to make their own comments. I speak for myself,” Poilievre said when asked about Smith’s comment in March.
