Montreal Canadians in the mix.
This is the last ten games of the season and the Canadians are likely to be in the playoffs. Granted, their road trip was going well, but they recovered Florida with a 4-2 shock on Sunday.
The Canadians beat the Panthers three consecutive games this season.

Lane Hutson’s record parade continued another sensational day. He scored three more assists, his game is close to a rookie defensive player in NHL history and now he has the most powerful points against the defenders.
Hutson’s first assist was a smooth pass to Patrik Laine as Finn let it fly on the left as usual. The angle is horrifying, but Ryan still manages to tear it apart briefly.
The second assist was a secondary assist from Hutson’s Federal Reserve Nick Suzuki, who spotted Juraj Slafkovsky, who benefited a lot from a bounce from a defender on his birthday when he tried to cross-challenge to Cole Caufield.
The third assist is the best in the trio – it’s a pass that lacks words to explain. Hutson drove the puck a wide Suzuki on the other side through a large body around the corner, where he set it up at the third point of the day.
Hutson’s three assists raised him to 54 assists. The greatest rookie guard in history is Larry Murphy, whose 60 is. excellence.
In terms of points, Hutson also improved the rankings with a score of 59, making him one of the top ten in history. He may end around sixth, currently with Chelios 64 points. Chelios retired in 2010.
All the overall goals in the game averaged 11 times, and all rookies ranked in the top 1 in the scoring. Hutson was one of the senior racing teams, with an average score of 6 per game at the time. It’s one of the greatest rookie defensive seasons in hockey history. He was selected as No. 62.
Another trend worth noting that may be very important in the end, is the head coach’s choice to ride the second line with Emil Heineman instead of Joshua Roy. It changes the defensive composition of the lines in a huge way. This trio requires a player with a good defensive footprint throughout the season. Heineman is that player. He is the dog around the hockey. He fights every inch. During the battle, he threw his body. For the winger, he has an excellent hockey feel.
Martin St. Louis noted that Alex Newhook was one of his most progressive players this season. He brought big skating strides that he had never shown in his career before. Not the actual speed, but the desire to continue using this step in traffic. Adding Heineman online allows Newhook to explore speed and understand the people behind him are playing a clever hockey brand.

Brendan Gallagher added an empty net. His boundaries with Christian Dvorak and Josh Anderson were solid all day long.

This is a huge effort by Canadians. Florida played great and Montreal has performed well in the Stanley Cup championship all season. Beyond that, there is little negative pointing out: Samuel Montembeault was unable to shoot a 35-foot slap in his leg. The long-term five-hole is not the way to finish the goalkeeper in 2025. The entire tendency system is created to not let you pass through anything you have.
Montembeault has to endure and remember the goalkeeper’s structure for long shots. In 2025, high angles can protect the middle. All in the middle.
It was a shame for Montumpur, as he performed well in close range. He just needs to get basic skills from the long-term lens.

When fatigue hits, players start to lose focus on details: they don’t focus either, they start cheating, they get stuck. This is what the Canadians play in Florida. However, they showed Sunday that they regrouped in the final nine games of the season.
The Canadians played a lot of hockey this week. Games are being taxed in four different cities Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, but they show their game is better.
The Canadians can now rest until Tuesday and then take advantage of the best April schedule for the final playoffs.
Montreal has six home games and only three games. There is only one tax on a trip to Nashville; the other two are close-range destinations in Toronto and Ottawa. It’s not that difficult for clubs that are currently tied with other clubs that are basically tied with Montreal.
Detroit has the toughest timeline in the entire league, with the remaining nine points in the case file against Dallas, Carolina, Florida, Toronto, Tampa Bay and St. Louis. Their simple game is listed as Montreal and New Jersey.
Next is the remaining games for the New York Rangers, including Tampa, Carolina, Florida, Minnesota and New Jersey, with the toughest games, Islanders and Philadelphia being listed as the easiest. Rangers’ timeline is the fourth biggest issue.
Montreal will get better. The Islanders were listed as Washington twice, Carolina, Tampa, Minnesota, Columbus, Rangers, Devils, and only two more games against Nashville and Philadelphia.
The Blue Jacket was ranked eighth, with two people on the schedule, two against the Capital, two against Senators, Colorado, Toronto and the Islanders. Nashville, Buffalo and Philadelphia are easier.
These are four teams that the Canadiens are fighting for their last place, all with the highest schedule. In fact, the ultimate playoff goal is six wins and three losses, but five wins and four losses may do it. None of the four teams could have six wins, or even five.
Now, come to Canadians with the 28th timeline or the highest fifth. They still have nine games, and the toughest opposition parties are Florida, Carolina, Toronto and Ottawa. The easier game is against Chicago, Nashville, Philadelphia, Boston and Detroit.
Canadians are the only club with a great home balance, with six homes and three places. The Blue Jacket is the only club that has more home than outside. Everyone else was on the way.
Of the five teams, Montreal is the easiest way to win five to six wins in the last nine games. Columbus is the second simplest path, and it is hard to imagine the other three paths to win five or six games.
While it’s been a tough week, Habs will have the chance to bring all his energy home for most of the time. The goal is that even if they enter the playoff location for the last nine games, they have finished.
The difficult journey was behind them. The tough opposition is mainly behind them. Their competition has not yet been completed, and they have worked harder.
Claiming that this is their advantage – let’s enjoy the journey.
