A British tourist died while snorkeling from a popular Indonesian island.

The 81-year-old man was found ‘floating lifeless’ on Wednesday, about 15 feet from the coast of tourist Island Gili Trawangan, northwest of Lombok.

A preliminary medical examination suggested that the man suffered a heart attack while in the water, police said. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

According to police and witnesses, the tourist was on a group boat trip to the snorkeling place when he was separated from each other.
