Brampton man accused of setting fire to a house in The Beaches


A man from Brampton faces multiple charges for arson investigation.

Harjot Bhandaal, 31, went to a vacant house on the beach near East Queen Street and Woodbing Avenue on February 27, according to police.

Bhandaal allegedly caught fire on the house using accelerator and then fled the area around 2:00 a.m.

He was arrested Thursday and charged with disguising himself as a crime, breaking and entering, possessing burning materials and arson, ignoring human life.

He plans to appear in court at the Toronto Area Bail Center on Friday, March 14, 2025.
