A 13-year-old boy is charged with police searching for three other suspects involved in multiple breaks entering Markham’s vehicle theft.
York Regional Police Investigators said they were summoned to Denison Street and Middlefield Road near Denison Street and Markham Road on March 9 to report two suspects breaking into the residence.
The suspect allegedly tried to enter at least two houses, then broke into a third and stole the keys of two cars. Police said the suspect then stole the vehicle from the driveway.
Two days later, officers were summoned to a house near Fonda Road and Golden Avenue areas to report a stolen vehicle.
Investigators said four suspects tried to break into a house, then broke into another suspect and stole the keys to the victim’s vehicle. Police said two other cars were stolen from that lane.
All four stolen vehicles were recycled in Toronto.
Police said one of the suspects was arrested and returned to a stolen vehicle.
As a result, a 13-year-old boy from Toronto faces several charges, including four counts of stealing a motor vehicle, breaking and importing property obtained from the crime.
Three other suspects were described as wearing masks, hooded sweaters and tracks.
The investigation is still underway.
