Boat Race 2025: Who is competing for Oxford and Cambridge?

Oxford and Cambridge are once again ready to fight as the annual boat race approaches.

The blue boats will end to a glory along a four kilometer river Thames from Putney to Mortlake, with Oxford, with a line of Cambridge Dominance over the past year. The Light Blues have won in the women’s race for seven consecutive years and six of the last eight men’s races.

To combat this, Oxford has a new look with a brand new coaching setup and a lot of former Olympians in their blue boat.

Cambridge’s preparation for the race was shocked by a splash of selection, while Oxford has successfully banned three of the opposition staff, all PGCE students, to participate in a debate that has been going on for months.

Whether it has a significant impact on the termination of Cambridge’s long finish line has yet to be seen, with everything to play Sunday afternoon.

When is the boat race?

The women’s race starts on Sunday, April 13 at 13.20 o’clock BST.

The men’s race starts on Sunday, April 13 at 14.20 o’clock BST.

What is the course?

The boat race, known as the Championship Course, is four miles and 6.8 km long (374 meters long, and extends between Putney and Mortlake on the south -river of the Thames river Thames in Southwest London.

Oxford Women’s Team

Oxford Women’s most decorated rower this year is Heidi LongA British bronze medalist from the Paris Olympics in the women’s eight. The boat’s third place was just the second time in history that GB won a medal in the race. Cambridge women’s team

Cambridge -Man team

The Cambridge men’s team does not have the same international pedigree as their opposition number but makes it in experience with 30-year-old James Robson – an extra for GB in Paris – the veteran of the day. The group also contains Noam sleeve and Luca ferraroboth two -time boat racing winners with Cambridge, and Douwe de CountA member of the GB’s development group for LA 2028.
