Companies in the Barossa Valley in southern Australia are preparing for one of its most occupied weeks registered, with tens of thousands of visitors who attend the region for the AFL 2025 meetings round.

The Barossa Valley will organize two games in the recently developed Recreation Space of Barsa Park of $ 45.7 million on the site of an existing oval in Lyndoch.

Only 500 meters from the road, a family winery has spent months preparing to make the most of the event.

“When we discovered that he was going to be three minutes on foot, Barsa Park really prepared,” Marketing Manager Jeseca Kies said.

“We are very excited.

There is so much energy in the city, it is incredible.

Mrs. Kies said she anticipated that more than 1,000 guests would visit the winery from Friday to Sunday.

“It is, with much, the biggest event we have directed,” he said.

“Logistics is huge … We will have four different stations where people can ask for food and wine … It is a lot, we have 22 employees for each day.

“We are projecting that we will double our income for the weekend conservatively as a forecast.”

Since the announcement of the AFL in April last year, the owners of the motel in Lyndoch have improved all rooms in preparation for 100 percent occupation during the meeting round.

“Normally at that time of the year we could be seated from 60 to 70 percent [occupancy]”said co -owner John Nunan.

“It’s a bit like Christmas where you have an event to prepare and have been for several months.

“It is a good success for us and, of course, the amount you receive for a room night at that stage is much greater than it would normally be.”

The state government and the Boossa Council jointly financed the update at Lyndoch Recreation Park, which will have a capacity of 10,000 seats for the two AFL games.

The mayor of the Boossa Council, Bim Lange, said that the period prior to the construction of the new installation to see the final touches had created a “great emotion” in the community.

“It has joined exceptionally well and we all get excited when a plan joins the way this has done,” Lange said.

While Lange expected the place to be used for future meeting rounds, he said that development could open even more opportunities for the wine region.

“Simply put another chain in our arch for all other events that we want to capture and promote throughout this region,”

said.

“It is still a community installation, but we are talking about the possibility of other marquee events, we are having conversations with Saca, we are having conversations with the Sanfl along with other codes, I would even love a live concert here.

“We really want to see this space pumping all year.”

North Melbourne and Gold Coast will receive Barossa’s first game on Saturday, before Richmond and Fremantle are on Sunday.

Mrs. Kies said that guaranteeing the economic benefit of the meeting round spread just throughout the community, it was vital for the premises.

“We have so many incredible artisanal producers … We want to put the brand of Lyndoch Town on the map and also the barossa as a broader region,” he said.

“The idea is that we want the guests of the interstatal to experience the entire Barossa while they are here, not just the game.

Then go home and tell your friends how incredible it is and then come back next year, that’s the plan.
