Australian coastlines see 39 pct reduction in plastic pollution: study


Canberra, April 3 (Xinhua) – Plastic waste that covers the coasts of Australia have decreased by 39 percent in the last decade, according to a new study by the National Agency of Sciences of the country on Thursday.

The researchers of the Commonwealth scientific and industrial research organization (CSIRO) surveyed the habitats inside, river and coastal in six metropolitan regions and found a 16 percent increase in plast in plast.
