Athletes say that para-Atletism events could receive more prominence at the successful Maurie plant meeting of the weekend in Melbourne.
The meeting of the race to exhaust was headed by Queenslanders Gout Gout and Lachlan Kennedy, who fought in the 200 -meter race of Peter Norman Memorial.
But the two events of Para, the 100 meters of women and 100 meters of men, were organized at the beginning of the track program more than an hour before the event was broadcast on television.

The Paralympic Chad Perris ran on Sunday and said that the encounter was a great show for athletics in Australia, but the schedule felt like a “massive step back.”
“For me personally … we throw ourselves to the program essentially at the beginning of the program”,
Perris said.
He said that the events of Pue could have integrated better at the schedule.
“I think it’s disappointing,” said Perris.
“There has been a massive government investment in Paralympic sport in this country, and for one of the largest sports, which I think could be a leader in this space, have lost the [mark] … it was definitely disappointing. “
Not ‘ask too much’

He said that at least he would have liked to have seen the events of just outside the transmission window, instead of more than an hour before.
“I think it would have been a great opportunity to show what we have to offer, not only to our own athletics community, but to the general public that came in their mass,” he said.
“We could have been the last event before the TV window. And you know, I don’t think that is dreaming too much, I don’t think that is asking too much.“
An Australian athletic spokesman said that programming and transmission decisions were taken by World Athletics.

In a statement, they said they were “proud” of having included the two events for a “deliberate decision” to show Paralympic talent.
“Our messages in the period prior to the meeting also had a strong focus on bringing fans to get early and catch these incredible athletes in action,” said the spokesman.
They said that Australian athletics was always reviewing how events could be better included in competitions.
Athletics events are within the jurisdiction of athletics for the World Cup, instead of world athletics.
Swimming lessons
The researcher of the athletics roads at the University of Sunshine Coast, Tania Stevenson, said the lack of representation for was supervision.

“For me, it is normal to see the integration of both events and … for athletes with a capable body,” Stevenson said.
She said it was important that the funds for sports be combined with messages consistent for spectators.
Mrs. Stevenson said other athletics events, including Australian Athletics U20 championships and Open Championships, had established an integrated schedule.
The researcher said that swimming was a sport that had made “good movements” to boost the profile of the sport and show the same representation of the events for and without body.
“The selection tests have now intertwined throughout the night,” he said.
“You have an event for and then a healthy event … both receive the same comment, both get the same exaggeration.
“They really build the stars in the events of Para … and I think that is very important in the future.”
Road to Brisbane 2032
Both Clifford and Perris said he was ready for a renewed approach to Sport in the period prior to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Brisbane.

Perris said that important crowds knew that the names of athletes for and their stories.
“People enter Paris [2024 Games] Know names like Alexa Leary and know who those people are, and support them and tune them to see them “,
said.
“And that will not happen in athletics unless sport is promoted by sport itself.”
