A separate case against them, in which they are accused of human trafficking and the formation of a criminal gang to sexually exploit women, has been returned to prosecutors.

The brothers, who both have double UK-American nationality, are also subject to a European arrest order insured by Bedfordshire police for rape and human trafficking allegations. Those allegations, which “unequivocally deny” the two brothers, date back to 2012-2015.

Four women also accused Tate of rape and forced control and brought a civil claim against him in the United Kingdom.

The woman, who is an American citizen, filed the complaint in Florida after the Tate Brothers filed a lawsuit against her for working with the Romanian authorities.

A spokesman for the brothers said a Romanian court had seized some of their assets, including properties and vehicles.
