The man who affirms the police shaved his son’s head and eyebrows in a grotesque cancer fraud with his partner he refused to answer any question about the amazing alleged scam when he appeared in court in person for the first time.
Ben Stephen Miller and Michelle Bodzsar appeared on Tuesday magistrate Brian Nitschke in the Adelaida Magistrates Court in a case that has attracted worldwide attention.
The police allege that the couple shaved their heads and eyebrows of their six -year -old son and placed it in a wheelchair with bandages to imitate the treatment of stereotactic radiotherapy, requesting funds from parents and comprehensive businesses.
“Our investigation has confirmed that the child does not seek medical treatment,” police said at a press conference after charges were presented.
“We believe that this farce disease is causing significant and serious psychological damage to the child and his brother.”
The alleged scam took place between November 18 and December 12 of last year.
Prosecutors have accused the couple of an aggravated act that probably causes damage and deceiving others to benefit.

On Tuesday, the Prosecutor’s Office told the court that he had not yet determined the final positions and that he was waiting for doctors’ reports about the couple’s children before continuing with the final accusations.
“The director (public prosecutions) has now considered that this issue is a complex archive,” said the prosecutor.
“An additional medical report is required.
“That will be completed at the end of April.”
Mr. Miller’s defense lawyer and Mrs. Bodzsar did not oppose the postponement.
Nitschke scheduled on May 7 for the next appearance of the couple, where the prosecution is expected to confirm the final positions.
Mrs. Bodzsar appeared through Custody’s Videolink, while Mr. Miller, wearing a knob, shaved head and a suit, sat in silence on the dock along the procedures.
He left the court quickly and faced a media scrum, but refused to comment on the case or declare whether he would dispute the accusations.
Police states that the couple cheated $ 60,000 in the alleged scam, which has gone viral worldwide, with reports on the case that appeared in the Dutch, Italian and American media.
Mrs. Bodzsar wrote on social networks that her son had an eye cancer in stage 1.
“Three tumors … in and around the optic nerve,” he wrote.
“I look at you sadly in my eyes and heart.
“It is unbearable for dad and mom to see you go through this. Your blues no longer shines but a vacuum in a world in which you have not been in a long time. ”
The two children of the couple have been removed from their custody.
Mr. Miller and Mrs. Bodzsar have not yet entered into a plea.
