The driver involved in an accident that left a critical person will appear in Dunedin’s district court tomorrow, police said.

Emergency services were called to Brockville RD at 4:15 pm yesterday, after reports of an accident involving a pedestrian, which was rushed to Dunedin Hospital in critical condition.

Police said this afternoon, a 31 -year -old man was accused of operating a vehicle causing an injury recklessly, the lack of computer search obligations and refusing to undergo a mandatory commitment test.

Additional investigations were underway, said a police door.

There was no further update about the condition of the injured person.
