Thousands of Ontarians have no power as ice storms hit a part of the province and threaten more.
The map of Hydro One (provincial utility) shows that about 35,000 customers are in the dark as concentrated in the cabin country, from Tobermory and Parry Sound to Peterborough.
Environment Canada issued a freeze warning for kelp in Ontario and Quebec, which began on the northwest coast of Lake Huron.

Although parts of central and southern Ontario have been hit, the storm is expected to expand on Sunday, heading towards Ottawa and Montreal.
In Orillia, Ontario’s heart center of the Lodge National, national forecasters say ice can accumulate up to 25 mm.
The city was one of those hit by a power outage, and it said the public library had been closed for a day because it had no electricity.
Environment Canada said frozen rain could cause slippery surfaces, broken branches and power outages.
Police have informed of unnecessary travel in the coming days.
Conditions are expected to improve in some areas as the weather system is removed from the province.
