Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone for at least 90 minutes on Tuesday.
Russia has agreed to a partial ceasefire on the target of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure for a period of 30 days.
But Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that future discussions about Ukraine without Kyiv at the table would produce no results.

I think Vladimir Putin will be very pleased with the outcome of this call, because even if he didn’t earn much, he didn’t lose anything.
By agreeing to a ceasefire on energy infrastructure, he has given Donald Trump enough to ensure that the greater detention of the US Russia remains intact.
In the last month, there was talk of a breakdown of relationships, lifting sanctions – and Putin certainly did not want to endanger it.

At the same time, however, Putin did not want to dilute one of his red lines. And through its sounds, they are as indelible as always.
The Kremlin’s reading of the call conversations of a need to “eliminate the cause of the crisis”, which is the Kremlin code for “Russia’s safety issues regarding the expansion of NATO, must be met”.
However, one thing this call has given him is the time to keep Russia’s military advantage at home.
This is especially important for Putin in the Koursk region in Russia, where his powers seem to be about to eradicate the foothold of Ukraine, which would be of great symbolic importance to the Kremlin.

The various reading of the Trump Putin Phone Call does not read well for Ukrainians who rely on an American ally to do their bid.
They have already agreed to a 30 -day ceasefire with the Americans who said they were ‘on the 10th site of peace’.

Moscow clearly has different ideas. To expand the American football metaphor, Vladimir Putin still has hands on the ball.

There was, of all things, talking about us against Russia –Shocck matches. In Moscow, they know Trump’s comfortable talk sports and that many Americans think hockey before they think Ukraine.

It was attracting a deal that was deeply flawed from Kyiv’s perspective.
Russian talk of eliminating ’causes of the crisis’ speaks to the desire of Moscow to demilitarize the Ukraine and claim his field.
Then there was Putin’s insistence on a “termination of foreign military assistance and the provision of intelligence information to Kyiv”.
To reduce the supply of weapons and intelligence, Ukraine would weaken while Russia strengthened. For Kyiv, it’s a line so red, it’s purple.
What Trump does next is decisive. What he has done so far is also in a corner, European allies.
A common thread in reading was the positive talk of the American -Russian relationships -“an improved bilateral relationship … has great upside down” was Washington’s actions.
It is clear that Trump and Putin share the vision of a geopolitical shift, built on shared priorities. The fate of Ukraine is not necessarily above the list.
