The former principal of a private school in Brampton is prosecuting a divestiture of the area police and police force, who has applied for a divestiture of the area police and police force after allegations of sexual assault and exploitation.

Court documents also show that a different judge disqualified himself in July 2024, saying that while he did not think he was biased against the defendant, he acknowledged that some of his actions and comments could lead to people’s perceptions of bias.
Kumar’s lawsuit against Peel police filed last August alleges that his charter rights were violated when he was arrested and accused police of defamation and malicious prosecution.
However, the police force denied any liability or wrongdoing in a defense statement filed in the court and believed that Kumar’s legal actions could not be enforced due to the time limits set forth in the Restriction Act.
