A moped rider wearing a bright orange jacket is being sought over the ‘targeted and premeditated’ fatal shooting of a schoolboy in South London, a court heard.
Lathaniel Burrell, 16, collapsed and died after he was Shot in the chest by a lonely armed man in Stockwell last week.
Emergency services were called to Paradise Road shortly after 3pm on March 4.
The armed man, who is still large, was wearing an accident helmet, gloves and a distinctive orange net dining jacket and rode on a stolen Honda braking, the old Bailey said.
He was allegedly assisted by Omar Prempeh, 32, who was charged with murder after allegedly expelling the armed man of the scene in a Nissan Juke.
Prempeh appeared in the Old Bailey on Wednesday for a preliminary trial in the case.
Prosecutor Ben Holt said it is a ‘targeted attack’ which is ‘a premeditated fatal shooting’ for which the armed man ‘is still outstanding’.
He said evidence shows that the shooter spent 20 seconds in the road, during which the victim was shot.
Prempeh, of StankeDead Road, Forest Hill, Southeast London, appeared in court in the VideoBelkel from Belmarsh Prison in court and only talked to confirm his name and date of birth.
Judge Rebecca Trowler KC imposed a plea hearing on May 29 and a preliminary four -week trial from 1 December.
She noted that Prempeh was the alleged ‘Secondary Party in a premeditated and targeted shooting in the street’ while she was in custody.

The family members of Lathaniel, who sat in court during the hearing, described him as a fan of Manchester United who enjoyed playing PlayStation 5, and a friend of the family said he was “very bright at school”.
A 17-year-old youth is also charged with the murder of Lathaniel and appears at the Bromley Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. His next court date is expected to be at the Old Bailey on Friday.
