The best and brightest in European athletics will this week after Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, for four days of uninterrupted action at the European Indoor Athletics Championships.

The championships will be by the local star and world champion of the 400m champion Femke Bol, while four Olympic champions of last year, including 5000m champion Jacob Indeo -Brigtsen and high jump gold medal Yaroslava Mahuchikh, will also be in the fight for more silverware.

Other big names to look at include the Dutch Olympic Mixed Download Champions, with Boll leading the group, although Great Britain’s Molly Cauing, which is the ruling world champion for indoor poles, will skip the event due to a calving injury and focus on the world athletics championships in Nanjing, China later this month.

Team GB has a medal in Georgia Hunter Bell, Neil Gourley and George Mills, with the athletes ready for the start of the off -season, culminating in the World Championships in Tokyo in September.

The European Championships run from 6-9 March at the Omnisport Apeldoorn, Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.
