The Brazilian police said they had arrested two people in relation to a frustrated plot to attack the mega concert full of Lady Gaga in Rio de Janeiro.
The Civil Police of Río said that “together with the Ministry of Justice” had avoided “a bomb attack that would have occurred at Lady Gaga’s concert in Copacabana” during the weekend.
The authorities said that the great free concert of the Superstar on the beach, its first concert in Brazil since 2012, attracted two million people.
When writing in X, the Rio Police said he had arrested an adult who was “responsible for the plot”, as well as a teenager in the Monster Fake Monster operation, a reference to the name of pets of the United States Pop Diva for his fans, small monsters.
He said that those involved had recruited people online to “carry out attacks using makeshift explosives” and Molotov cocktails as “a collective challenge” with the aim of “gaining notoriety in social networks.”

Police said the group behind the plot “spread the hate speech,” radicalized young people and used autolesions on digital platforms as mechanisms to develop social belonging.
Police attended the raids throughout the state of Rio de Janeiro, as well as the states of Sao Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Grosso.
Lady Gaga’s concert was the second show of one million people in Copacabana Beach in a year, after a great concert last year by Madonna.
‘Sick scared’
The security was extremely adjusted for Saturday’s show, with about 5,000 officers, drones and facial surveillance and facial recognition cameras.
The 39 -year -old star fans reacted surprised at the news of the frustrated plot.

Lady Gaga had started her program perched over two meters above the stage with a huge scarlet ring dress that opened to reveal a vertical cage from which her dancers went out to an interpretation of her 2011 song of 2011 Bloody Mary.
