A British tennis player with a highly regarded tennis apologized for saying that an opponent “smelled really bad” and requested that she be deodorant.
Harriet Dart said in an Instagram story that she commented on French player Lois Boisson, to whom she lost 6-0, 6-3 on Tuesday, in the first round of Clay-Court Rouen.
The British no. 4 made the remarks about Boisson during a conversion in the second set, with the French player apparently outside the back of the track.
In footage, Dart can be heard and tells the referee: “Can you say her (Boisson) to wear deodorant? … because she smells really bad.”
The 28-year-old man apologized for her remarks and said, “It was a comment about the moment I really regret”.
She added: “That’s not how I want to wear myself, and I take full responsibility.
“I have a lot of respect for Lois and how she competed today. I will learn from this and move forward. ‘

Boisson, who made her first WTA tour of the season and works from the 303rd on the ranking of the ranking to injuries, delivered a light-hearted reaction.
She posted a photo on Instagram on the court with a Dove deodorant edited in the frame above her hand, marked the company and wrote that they “apparently needed a collapse”.
Boisson’s victory over no. 110 Dart – during which she broke the Briton’s serving four times – was a significant dismay.
