A delivery driver has been filmed in a bell chamber that plays a customer after seeming to have delivered it.
The delivery driver left the order at 9.30 pm and Reece went to the door to collect the order, just to discover that there was nothing there.
“You get an alert on your phone and say that your groceries have been delivered, so we are heading to the main door, we open the door and miss,” said John Stanley, a radio host of 2GB, this morning.
“We return and review the cameras and (we saw) what has happened … the bandit of diapers has taken off at night.”
The Reece Ring Chamber captured the incident, with the father looking with horror while the driver drops the food in the front crossing, takes a picture to confirm the order, then picks it up and puts it in a bag in his scooter.
Then he moves away with the order.
Reece contacted Uber for a refund, sending them the video as proof, but says they refused to return their money.
“What was really disappointing was that I jumped to Uber, and thought we will solve this, I will let them know, I sent them the video,” he said.
“They didn’t take any responsibility, they didn’t even ask for Sorry … when I asked for a refund, they said no, we won’t give it!
“I have had to inform the police, which is sad, it could have been treated by Uber.”
