London – The Iranian Foreign Ministry has announced that the second round of indirect negotiations with the United States is expected to be held in Oman on Saturday, according to the official news agency of the Islamic Republic.
The first round of conversations was “well -fulfilled” in its “initial steps”, said Iran’s supreme leader Ali Hamenei in a publication on his official X account on Tuesday.
“The Oman is talking is a movement that has been resolved and well fulfilled in its original steps,” he said in a publication. “The red lines are clear. They are clear to the other side and are clear to us,” he added in another publication.
The Iranian delegation had arrived in the capital of Oman, Muscat, last Saturday, to meet with US staff for “indirect negotiations” about Tehran’s nuclear program, Iranian State News Agency Irib said.

The White House confirmed that President Donald Trump’s envoy to the Middle East Steve Vikof talks directly to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi as part of “very positive and constructive” negotiations.
Iranian Foreign Ministry published on their Telegram channel on Saturday that the conversations ended in two and a half hours. It states that the two countries “exchanged the positions of their respective governments” under the nuclear program of Iran and for sanctions. There was speculation that the second round of talks would be held in a European country.
Iran’s supreme leader advises Iranian officials on Tuesday not relying on Oman negotiations because “they may or may not produce results.”
“We are neither too optimistic nor too distrustful of Oman talks,” he said.
He added that the country’s problems should not be tied to these conversations and the mistake made in the joint overall action plan – the former nuclear transaction Iran signed with the US and other countries – should be avoided as they did everything depending on the progress of the conversation.
