Northland’s Civil Defense is asking residents to prepare for possible strong winds and energy falls, according to the climate linked to the Tam Tam Cyclone approaches.

Strong rain and strong winds should hit the northern island of Upper from Wednesday, with the expected damp sky for much of the country for the rest of the week.

Methservice meteorologist Silvia Martino said the center of the Cyclone Tam may not arrive in New Zealand, but the country will feel its impact for days.

The first rain was expected in the early hours of Wednesday, and heavy rains should continue until Thursday night. The worst of the weather was foreseen on Thursday.
