Altercation Preceded Fatal El Cajon Stabbing, Police Said After Arrest of Suspect

A 24 -year -old man was in jail on Saturday in relation to the fatal stabbing of a resident of El Cajón.

Around 2:40 AM on Tuesday, the officers responded to the reports of a man in the 200 Cypress Avenue block, according to the El Cajón Police Department.

The victim, identified as Josiah Kamillus McNeil, 20, was taken to a hospital, where she died a short time later, the department said Friday.

“During the investigation, the detectives determined that the victim and the suspect were known to each other and were involved in a physical altercation before stabbing,” said the police.

Around 10 am on Thursday, the Police arrested Manuel Junior Aparicio without incident in the 900 fToet block in San Diego.

Aparicio was hired in the central prison of San Diego under suspicion of murder and is detained without bail.

The authorities urged anyone with information to contact the police at 619-579-3311 or send anonymous tips to the Crime Stoppers of the San Diego County.
