Rory McIlroy won the Masters, defeating Justin Rose to complete a professional Grand Slam on the first hole of the playoffs.
The Northern Irish joined Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan and Gene Sarason to win all four major titles in golf – Masters, U.S. Open, PGA and Open Championship – at least once.
This is McIlroy’s 11th Masters attempt.
Canada’s Corey Conners ranked eighth with five points. It was Augusta’s fourth top ten, Ontario native who made it to McIlroy’s final four rounds.
