A mountain cyclist died on a popular track outside Queenstown.
Emergency services were called to the site on the Ben Lomond track around 10:45 am on Saturday.
They were responding to reports that a mountain cyclist in the 1960s passed out due to a medical event.
Police said the mountain cyclist received medical attention, but died at the scene.
