The best Australian model and the star of the next best model in Australia, Lucy Markovic, died after a health battle.
The 27 -year -old died during the night after a battle against arteriovenous brain malformation (AVM), a tangle of abnormal blood vessels that can cause brain damage.
His death was announced in his Instagram story.
“Dear friends and family, I regret to inform him that Lucy has happened,” said the publication.
“I was at peace. I, her mother and my mother were present with her.
“We ask you to please give us space in these difficult times.
“Lucy rest in peace.”
The NYC Elite modeling agency also confirmed death, calling Markovic a “bright bright light.”

Markovic modeled for Versace last year.
Last month, Markovic published a health update on his Instagram, where he revealed that he underwent brain surgery.
“Lucky + unfortunate: radiation, seizures, heavy medication and 4 years later,” said the publication.
“I will undergo brain surgery on this month for avm in the back of my brain (arteriovenous malformation) which is the size of a golf ball (it has now changed to April 2).”
The model was runner -up in season nine season of the next Top Model of Australia.
