The new St. Lawrence Farmers Market officially opened on Saturday, marking the latest market development that has entered its third century of survival.
The long-awaited move to the North Building at 92 Front Street, Jarvis Street has been demolished in 2016 and moved to a temporary building behind the South Building. The official grand opening ceremony was originally scheduled to be held on May 10.
The first and second floors will be community spaces including farmers’ markets, while the third to fifth floors of the structure are mixed use areas where Toronto court services are located since March 5.

220 years in the same city
The market first started in the region in 1803 and was in the federal government in Canada before more than sixty years.
In the early days, suppliers were mainly outdoors. The southern market construction of many people shopping was closed about 120 years ago.
Food history was also found inside the heritage wall. Peameal Bacon was invented at the St. Lawrence market, and sandwiches often stacked on fresh bread with bacon is a must-try item.
