Boyz, Idaho. – Aidaho’s recently left lawyer joined the prosecutor’s prosecutor’s team against Brian Kohberger, the man accused of the killings of four students from the University of Idaho in 2022.
Joshua Horit will be a special deputy prosecutor of the country in the murder process scheduled for August, the court documents submitted a show this week. The prosecutor of Latach County Bill Thompson led the prosecutor’s team.
Hurwit was a former President Joe Biden, nominated for an US Aidaho County Law on June 2022 to February. Hurwit joined the office in 2012 as an assistant lawyer in the United States. He retired in February before the White House rejected more than 50 US lawyers and MPs.
The 30 -year -old Kochberger has been charged with four murder accusations at the death of Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodel, Madison Mogen and Cayley Gonkalvs, students who were killed in the early morning of November 13, 2022, in a rental home near their campus in Moscow.
Autopsies showed that the four were probably asleep when they were attacked, some had defensive wounds and each of them was repeatedly stabbed.
Kochberger, who was a criminal justice student at Washington University, was arrested in Pennsylvania weeks later. Investigators said they coincide with his DNA with genetic material restored by the knife sheath found at the crime scene.
Earlier, a judge was confronted with inability on behalf of Kohberger. Prosecutors said they would seek the death penalty if he was convicted.
On April 9, a hearing was placed to consider preliminary proposals, including arguments as to whether the diagnosis of the autism spectrum disorder would prevent Kohberger from being eligible for the death penalty, if convicted, and whether the jurors should hear an audio of 911 hours of calling after the killings, as they would find out.
The Kohberger process is scheduled to start on August 11 and is expected to last more than three months.
