The Windsor Symphony Orchestra ended the family concert series on Saturday, with Dr. Seuss’s Gertrude McFuzz.
Directed by WSO resident conductor Geoffrey Larson, the music mini opera will take audiences into the church’s journey of how to find acceptance and belonging.
This is the story of the girl bird, she learned to like herself as much as she did, and it teaches children how to overcome jealousy and self-doubt to find a sense of acceptance and belonging.
The Solcz Family Foundation sponsored mini opera combines jazz, pop and classical music.
Jan Radford is co-hosted, while Mezzo-Soprano Erin Armstrong and Emry Murray are performers.
The performances are held on Saturday April 5 at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the Capitol Theatre in Christ Church, 317 Amherstburg Ramsay St. at 3:30 p.m.
