The most senior and longtime civil servants can be offered a maximum of £ 95,000 to end their work as part of a government efficiency drive.

Whitehall departments will have to bid for the money provided in the Spring state and match the £ 150m of their own budgets, bringing total financing to £ 300m.
The cabinet office targets 400 employees in a scheme announced last year and will continue to last this year.
A spokesman said each application to the scheme will be investigated from a case to case to ensure that “we retain our critical skills and experience”.
It is up to every government department to decide how they use their scheme.
The voluntary exit schemes form part of the government’s ambition to reduce bureaucracy and make the state more efficient in the midst of a gloomy economic background.
