Stocks slide on the eve of Trump’s tariff announcement

US actions fell apart in early trade on Tuesday, just a day before President Donald Trump’s expected announcement of new rates.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell with 250 points, or 0.6%while S& P 500 decreased by 0.45%. The technological heavy NASDAQ detected 0.3%.

Trump told reporters in the Oval cabinet on Monday that he had settled on a course of action for the fresh circle of tariffs, although he declined to offer details.

Days earlier, Trump told reporters over the weekend over the weekend that his tariffs could affect “all sides”.

“Tariffs will be much more hardened than these countries were for us, which means that they will be better than these countries were in the United States,” he said.
