A French court prohibited the French leader of the extreme right Marine Le Pen on Monday in the 2027 presidential elections after it was convicted of embezzlement, in a seismic ruling that could feed global tensions due to judicial efforts to police policy.

The head of the National Rally Party is one of the most outstanding figures of the extreme European right, and a favorite in the surveys for the France 2027 contest.
