Two people were dead after Florida’s authorities claimed that the Miami-Dad bus driver had taken a weapon and opened fire on a bus during disturbance.
The shooting erupted shortly before 3am when the driver of a bus in Miami-Dad was involved in disturbance with two male passengers on board the bus, said officer Diana Delgado of the Miami Gardens police station at a press conference on Sunday.
During the disturbance, the bus driver pulled out a weapon and opened fire, shooting the men, according to Delgado.
The two passengers were taken to HCA Florida Aventura hospital in critical condition and later died of their injuries, according to police.
ABC WPLG’s partnership station reports that both victims of the shooting were men.
It was not clear to the authorities whether the bus was moving during the shooting or how many passengers were aboard the bus.
The driver was detained by police, Delgado said on Sunday.
