Here are all of Edmonton’s candidates for federal election 2025

The federal election is underway, with candidates from major parties starting their campaign on Election Day on April 28.

This year, candidates have been adjusted, with former NDP MLA Rod Loyola and Edmonton Mayor Amarjeet Sohi throwing the hat into the ring. Candidates must complete the nomination form by April 7.

There are 9 rides in Edmonton.

The federal election boundaries have changed in the 2025 vote, meaning that Edmontonians may not vote in the same poll or even in the same horseback riding compared to the 2021 election.

In 2021, Canada has 338 electoral districts. Through reallocation, there are now 343 electoral districts in 2025.

The senior vote will be held from April 18 to 21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with additional information available in the Canadian elections.

Edmonton Center

In 2021, Liberal Randy Boissonnault won the ride with 33.7% of the vote, beating the conservative incumbent James Cumming. In the 2021 election, a total of 49,118 votes were voted among 81,766 registered voters, with a turnout of 60.1%.

Edmonton Portal

This is a new ride for the 2025 federal election. Conservative Tim Uppal won the Edmonton Mill Woods seat in the 2021 election.

Edmonton Griesbach

In 2021, NDP Blake Desjarlais won the ride with 40.5% of the vote, when incumbent Kerry Diotte was launched. In the 2021 election, a total of 43,082 votes were voted among 82,242 registered voters, with a turnout of 52.4%.

Edmonton Manning

In 2021, conservative Ziad Aboultaif won with 41.1% of the vote. He was the responsibility of riding and won the third semester of riding. In the 2021 election, a total of 49,225 votes voted among 89,075 registered voters, with a turnout of 55.3%.

This is a new ride for the 2025 federal election.

Edmonton River Bay

In 2021, conservative Matt Jeneroux won the ride with 45.2% of the vote. He is the responsibility of riding. In the 2021 election, a total of 56,972 votes were voted among 86,609 registered voters, with a turnout of 65.8%.

Southeast Edmonton

This is a new ride for the 2025 federal election.

In 2021, NDP Heather McPherson won with 60.7% of the vote. She is the responsibility of riding. In the 2021 election, a total of 52,253 votes voted among 77,285 registered voters, with a turnout of 67.6%.

Edmonton West

In 2021, conservative Kelly McCauley won with 45.2% of the vote. He is the responsibility of riding. In the 2021 election, a total of 55,989 votes voted among 88,508 registered voters, with 63.3 voters voted.
