Primoz Roglic has made a late burden to take the front of local favorite Juan Ayuso and win the Volta to Catalonia.

Roglic, four times champion of the Spanish return, prevailed in the last 20 km to win the decisive decision of 88 km in the seventh stage in Barcelona and ensure the general victory.

Ayuso had entered the last day at the head after a sixth shorted stage due to the extreme wind.

Roglic, the Slovenian of 35 years of Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe, finished the race 28 seconds ahead of Ayuso (Eau Eau Equi Emirates XRG), and 53 seconds against Enric More than Movistar, another Spanish.

Ben O’Connor (Jayco Alula) was the best located Australian, finishing 12th.
