The number of people who died in Myanmar after Friday’s powerful 7.7 earthquake can top 10,000, experts say.

The current death toll was injured at 1,700, with 3.400 others and 300 missing, according to the Pro-Junta telegram channels, citing the military rulers.

But the predictive modeling of the US geological service estimates that the death rate will increase in thousands and reach 10,000. It also indicates that financial losses can exceed the country’s annual economic production.
