The giant of the Supermarkets Colles became the most recent retailer to get more than a dozen products from their shelves in a large part of Australia due to problems of bacterial contamination.
Coles recalled the spinach products sold between March 20 and March 29, with the use by dates until April 9, due to possible microbial contamination (Stec).
Stec is an E. coli strain (They exhibited cold) Bacteria and food products contaminated with STEC can cause gastroenteritis, or “gastro”, resulting in serious illness.
Pre -inated spinach were included in 17 articles sold in Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, NSW and the Law, as well as some products in southern Australia and the Northern Territory.
“Customers should not eat these products,” Coles said in a statement.
“Any client worried about their health should seek medical advice.”
Woolworths, Aldi and MetCash Australia, which directs IgA and Drakes supermarkets, have also issued retreats in recent days.
What are the affected products?
Products removed from the supermarket market include pre -inated spinach, sauteed and salad mixtures, as well as bowls and snacks ready to eat.

- Spinach and kale 300g choles
- Colle spinach and 60g rocket, 120g

Coles said customers can return products for full refund.
“We apologize to our clients for any inconvenience,” said the retailer.
