The government must hold an urgent Cobra meeting to deal with the continued Bin strikes of Birmingham, the conservatives say.
The party wrote a letter to Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of Communities Angela RayneR, in which it also requested the government to submit the private sector binmen.
The prolonged strike continues, with littered In the streets of the city, despite discussions aimed at terminating the pay dispute.
Members of the United Union has met with Birmingham City Council Thursday, but the talks have failed so far.
Unite says the dispute will not end unless the “lot of damage” cuts are reversed to the wages of the collectors.
But the Birmingham City Council says the purpose of the restructuring is to create a “modern, sustainable and consistently reliable waste collection service”.

Shadow Communities Secretary Kevin Hollinrake and Minister of Shadow Cabinet Office, Alex Burghart, called on the government to hold a Cobra meeting to respond to the dispute.
The Tories said the meeting would “ensure that there is a coordinated response between national and local government”.
The government sent commissioners to oversee the Birmingham City Council after effectively declaring the bankruptcy in 2023.
In their letter, Mr. Hollinrake and Mr. Burghart also said the commissioners should “reduce the payment of local councilors and redistribute financing to local services”.

Last week, Mary Creagh, Minister of Environmental Affairs, told the House of Commons that the solution of the strikes is a “case [for] the Council ”.
She added that both parties needed to sort it out for the benefit of the people of Birmingham.
