A house in Minnesota was engulfed in flames after a small plane crashed into it on Saturday.

Dramatic footage shared online has the property in the residential area of Brooklyn Park, near Minneapolis, elicited. Residents are advised by emergencies to step back when black smoke plates came up in the air.

In a statement posted online, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that a Socata TBM7 aircraft crashed just before 12.30 hours of local time.

“We don’t know how many people were on board yet,” the FAA said.

Officials also told Fox 4 that no one was injured in the house, and that the first respondents wanted to vacate the area.

The plane departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and is on its way to Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis, the agency added.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will continue to investigate the accident.

Governor of Minnesota and former vice presidential candidate Tim Walz said his team is monitoring the situation.

“My team is in contact with local officials at the scene in Brooklyn Park and we monitor the situation carefully. Thank you for the first respondents who answer the call,” Walz wrote on X.
