The plane crashed on the east side of Hawa Lake.

New Zealand New Zealand Rescue Coordination Center says a small plane has crashed into the Dingleburn Valley on the east side of Lake Hawea, north of Wanaka.
A -void door says the center was notified that the plane was having problems around 1 pm, after an alert was received from the aircraft’s emergency location transmitter.
One person was transported to Dunedin Hospital in serious condition.
The fire and emergency NZ staff helped remove the victim from the plane.
