New Zealand New Zealand Rescue Coordination Center says a small plane has crashed into the Dingleburn Valley on the east side of Lake Hawea, north of Wanaka.
A -void door says the center was notified that the plane was having problems around 1 pm, after an alert was received from the aircraft’s emergency location transmitter.
The Rescue Coordination Center is currently leading the answer.
The -void door did not comment how many people were on board or if there were survivors.
Queenstown’s rescue helicopter is also on the scene and the fire and emergency staff is also participating.
