Henry also said that the respiratory disease season in British Columbia has reached its peak, and the number of flu and RSV cases is declining.
She said the flu season in BC has had the worst since the pandemic.
“But we are now seeing a decrease in the province, which is reflected in temporary departments visiting, access to health care for respiratory diseases and our wastewater monitoring,” she said.
RSV causes more severe conditions in children, later than usual in February, but Henry said they also see a steady decline in this.
