Patrick Cooper may be in a playground, but he is not playing for his goal of breaking the record longer swing on a swing.

Cooper started the floor at 1:30 pm on Friday afternoon at Waitangi Park in Wellington, with the goal of swinging for 48 hours.

The current Guinness world record for the challenge is 36 hours, 32 minutes with a British.

It is not just the world record that Cooper seeks, because he took advantage of his record opportunity to raise funds for mental health charity, I have hope.

But the Guinness world registration requirements are tight. Cooper must have at least two new witnesses every four hours.

While some may want to help it, the words of encouragement will be the only way for people to be able to push Cooper, who must complete the challenge without physical assistance.

“I’m excited for people to get off,” said Cooper.

“I had some people say they are falling for the cause and want to support me.”

In 2021, Cooper was 36 hours of record, according to reports of news of the time.

Cooper said it was “wonder of childhood” that aroused interest in a world record.

“Growing up at elementary school, we had guinness world record books,” he said.

“Swing record is much easier for me. It’s one of those simple tasks where you can really see how far you can go. I don’t think I could break it or walk.”

Although Guinness World Records kept attempts at strict registration, there would be some subsidies.

“Many people ask the bathroom question, Guinness gives me five minutes for every time of balance.”

Cooper was ready to finish this Sunday.
